Dogs play a small role in Shadow man. They guard the outside of Nettie's Chapel. When the player walks towards the Dry Quarry, a Dog, standing on the pier, turns into a demon dog then back to the normal dog, which this occurrence will be clear further in depth in the game when all the dogs become zombie dogs. Unlike their zombie forms they don't attack the player unless provoked if the player damages them
